Arkus Home for the Elderly and Infirm is a public institution founded in 2002. . We specialize in providing care and assistance for elderly people. The institution is privately owned.

We started providing our service initially with the capacity to accommodate 50 residents in the facility in Sutina near Muć. Since the expansion in Kaštel Sućurac in 2006, we now provide care for up to 150 residents.

Equipment and expertise

The home offers accommodation in single, double and triple rooms, meals with special attention to personal needs and preferences, health care and assistance with personal hygiene and daily activities. It is equipped according to the highest standards, so that the users are comfortably taken care of based on their needs. The home’s professional medical staff takes care of the health needs of the users on a daily basis. Three physiotherapists take care of the recovery of all users and help them with rehabilitation after hospital treatment.

We provide medical transport with new, state-of-the-art vehicles for our residents, as an included service.

All common areas are air-conditioned. The rooms are equipped with telephone and television connections. The double rooms have a bathroom. On each floor there is a dining room and a living room with a TV for the residents to enjoy during their day. Our entire institution is covered with Wi-Fi for our residents that enjoy surfing the web and using modern technology to keep up to date, or stay in touch with their relatives.

Home for the elderly and infirm Arkus operates in two facilities. The home in Kaštel Sućurac is located next to the sea along the promenade. The yard of the home is a beautiful park suitable for daily walks and rest.
